AddressBeacon Minerals own and operate the Jaurdi Gold Project situated in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. In operation for 5 years our project currently consists of Open Pit mining at the MacPhersons Reward project 5km south of Coolgardie and the Jaurdi Mill an 850,000tpa Gold CIP processing plant 30km north of Coolgardie.
From the solid foundations established to date, Beacon is now targeting a 10-year mine life with production of +50,000 oz per year. Beacon will achieve our goals of sustainable, long term mineral production through exploration discovery or external acquisition, while continuing to focus on safe and environmentally sustainable production with an engaged workforce. ABOUT THE ROLE
Beacon are seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our Open Pit Mining team. These are permanent positions working:
- 2:1 roster (14 days on, 7 days off)
- 12 hours shifts
- Day shift only
The positions are offered to DIDO (Kalgoorlie/Coolgardie Residential) or FIFO applicants.
KEY DUTIES
- Operate heavy machinery in accordance with site requirements
- Inspect machinery for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after operating tasks
- Maintain adequate radio communications
- Compile required documentation
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and processes
- Complete training requirements
- Meet required targets in a safe manner
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating in a production mining environment
- Experience operating PC1250 excavator or equivalent
- C class driver's license
- National police clearance (less than 6 months old)
DESIRBALE
- Experience operating other machinery (dozers, graders, dump trucks and water carts) advantageous
