Pantoro Ltd is a high grade Australian gold producer operating the Norseman Gold Project. The Mining department is seeking an Open Pit Surveyor to ensure the excavation process is completed appropriately to the engineering design.

The Details
Pantoro is seeking an Open Pit Surveyor to join the expanding team at the Norseman Gold Project. You will be responsible for performing day-to-day set out of designs and providing plans to operators to ensure excavation process is completed appropriately to the engineering design. At all times this will be achieved in a safe manner, adhering to all statutory requirements and company safety, health and environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conducting engineering surveys for the mine infrastructure
- Monitoring the progress of works to ensure compliance with the survey program, budget and quality
- Ensuring that work instructions are issued to the mining contractor as per site procedure
- Ensuring that mine development is accurately marked out and regularly picked up
- Reporting to provide survey control and spatial information services for operations, mine planning and environment
- Ensuring that the mine plans are kept in an orderly and logical fashion
- Prism Monitoring and processing using Quickslope
- Ensuring electronic and hardcopy survey plans for the mine are accurately produced
- Maintaining survey equipment to a high standard and ensuring equipment is kept within required calibration and adjustment parameters.
- Complete and process end of month surveys in a timely manner
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Mine Surveying
- Previous survey mining experience, Gold considered favourably
- Proficient with Trimble survey equipment or similar
- Proficient with Surpac or similar
- Experienced with DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise (RTK) preferred
- Remote Pilot License (preferred)
- Manual Driver License
- National Police Clearance

The project is serviced by a modern accommodation village situated within the Norseman township with full messing facilities and a new gym. Employees will also have access to the town facilities and services, providing the best of both worlds while on site.
About the Project
The Norseman Gold Project is an exciting project which includes a 1 million tonne per annum processing plant completed in September 2022 and development of multiple large Open Pits and underground mines. Mining activities have been established for well over a 12-month period providing on-target tonnes to the processing facility.
Existing mine life is approaching 10 years. Ongoing organic growth is expected with six drill rigs focused on Ore Reserve growth currently operating.
