About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchment in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area.
Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition, there is an Adult Step-Up Step-Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.
The Adult Community Service Team is based in Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast and provides a service to consumers with complex mental illness in outpatient and home settings, through a range of community mental health interventions including assessment, case management, therapeutic treatment, support, consultations and referral for adults from Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast regional area. The service works in collaboration with the adult mental health inpatient and acute care teams, and primary health, community and private sector providers to reduce symptoms of mental illness and facilitate recovery.

Provide nonclinical support to the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service in the area of cleaning and waste management. Facilities supported include Community Care Unit, Mental Health Inpatient Units, Sterling Place and Child and Youth services.
About you:
The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and able to work efficiently in order to meet deadlines.
- Experience or ability to acquire skills in areas eg. Cleaning, and Waste Management.
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with consumers and other employees.
- Ability to work in a team environment in a large organisation.
Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $6,165 p.m. is comprised of:
- A salary between $2,305.30 - $2,485.50 p.f.
