The Role:

As the OT Cyber Security Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing a highly specialised team of engineers and paraprofessionals who provide expert support and direction for OT Cyber Security for the regulated and non-regulated electrical network.

So, what are some of the key things you’ll be expected to do?

One of your core focus areas will revolve around people. You will effectively lead, mentor, and develop a team, manage and moderate their workload, and interface on projects with key internal and external stakeholders. You support with resource planning, work allocation, and ensure the team work together in a technical and complex environment.

Additional key deliverables include your provision of strategic support and expert knowledge of cybersecurity programmes of work, developing secure system strategies, and managing the development and implementation of change management practices that address the full life cycle of assets. You stay up to date with current industry updates and standards, and ensure the work being produced aligns with this.

You have an eye out to ensure the OT on the network is running safely and securely for end users, and have operational awareness to monitor systems and potential threats.

With flexi-working and a 9 or 10 day fortnight in place, the bottom of the salary band is $164,752 - $181,415 for 9 days and $186,170 - $204,999 for 10 days + 12.75% superannuation. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant’s knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2020.

About You:

In addition to your Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Systems/IT (or related), you will also have demonstrated ability working within NIST and AESCSF/C2M2 frameworks. You will have several years of experience performing strategic and tactical operations of critical infrastructure ideally within an OT environment.

Additionally, you will have proven capability of managing continuous improvement practices including performance management and change management.

In prior roles, you will have led a technical team, and understand how to be an effective leader, mentor, and manager. Your technical skills are honed so you can competently and confidently lead from the front, whilst in turn upskilling and developing your team. You have the ability to communicate well, and have strong inter-personal skills.
