Energy Queensland (EQL) has a permanent opportunity for Operational Technology (OT) Systems Specialist located either Rockhampton or Townsville, however, open to applicants across all EQL major centres. About your new role: You will provide technical and analytical assistance for systems and services as an OT Systems Specialist for Energy Queensland. You will apply your specialist knowledge and expertise in Operational Technology and services which support critical IT infrastructure that manages the power network.You will deliver customer satisfaction in the day-to-day tactical response to resolve complex problems that support the ICT systems. Your demonstrated knowledge and understanding of IT service principles will seamlessly provide professional and technical recommendations with key stakeholders in Operational and Engineering.You will engage in ongoing maintenance, support, upgrades, and enhancements within the OT systems environment, deliver cost-effective solutions, and develop, maintain, and implement standards and architecture for systems and applications.Why choose to work for us?It’s an exciting time to join us and to be involved in the energy sector, so consider us for your next career move, where you will experience:

About you:
You have experience supporting in the operation support of large and complex OT/IT environments. You have tertiary qualifications in computer science, information technology, computing or engineering or equivalent qualification and significant equivalent working knowledge and domain experience and ability in deploying, administering upgrading, and migrating underlying support services and technologies like NTP, Radius, DNS, DHCP, terminal services directory authentication services, shared storage, backup, centralised logging, version control, load balancing, WIKI, monitoring, authorisation, Linux and Windows. You have a proven ability to develop policy on systems and processes and automating patch management across infrastructure, core services and applications.Your knowledge of electrical power system, including demonstrated knowledge and understand of contemporary power systems, engineering, and information management principles will aid in user support, problem, configuration capacity, performance and security management of a large and complex systems environment.Use your past prior experience to explore new developments, products, and methodologies identifying trends, and assessing their relevance to Energy Queensland Limited. You must be willing to participate in an on-call roster, undertake training and be available to service project or operational work requirements.
