The Opportunity:
Our Operations Allocators based in our NTO (National Transport Office) team in Coffs Harbour are integral to the successful running of our Linehaul operations.
The primary purpose of this position is liaising with the drivers, operations staff, compliance and customers across the company.
The successful applicant will enjoy working as part of a team on a rotating Night Shift roster and have a friendly and helpful phone manner.
- Allocation of drivers and scheduled runs
- Communication of departure and arrival times with drivers
- Knowledge of driver fatigue and mass in accordance with legislative requirements
- Maximising the utilisation of fleet to achieve optimal operational efficiency
- Implementation and enforcement of processes and business rules
- Ensuing drivers conduct is in line with company policies and procedures
- Achieving customer satisfaction and quality service by ensuring all "on time" driver performance
- Willing to work day shift rotating roster including weekends
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience with temperature controlled freight
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with fatigue, speed, mass and maintenance requirements
- The ability to manage staff effectively
