Operations Coordinator (Scheduler)

Today this includes the supply and installation of steel house frames and roofing, lightweight cladding, guttering and downpipes, garage doors and linings.

Our Roofing division ​at Minto Branch is looking for an ​Operations Coordinator (Scheduler) who can deliver effective and efficient administrative and project management support. The position as a Scheduler will include liaising closely between Site Supervisors, quantifying subcontractors’ contract and materials orders for jobs on site and problem solving. Training will be provided to the right candidate. 

The duties of a Scheduler for our Roofing division are varied and welcomes new challenges and fresh ideas to improve how we operate. Typical duties will include (but not limited to):

• Create and maintain job schedules.
• Develop frameworks and implement them into the division to maintain scheduling management and support inbound jobs
• Log all new information into database and maintain the scheduled report for contract coordination and reporting purposes.
• Interact with staff and subcontractors to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
• Identify variances from the original plan and liaise with relevant staff.
• Liaise with Roofing team and task managers to define scope of work, to receive and update detailed schedules and cost information.
• Maintain up to date information within the system - uploading orders, raising contracts, allocating contractors, mark off completions, adequate job notes with attached photos when necessary.
• Undertake additional duties as and when required to ensure that projects proceed smoothly and effectively.

• Knowledge of systems and data with good analytical skills.
• Aptitude in understanding construction details and building materials.

Qualifications and Experience

• ​A trade experience in roofing or carpentry would be an advantage
• An ability to understand drafting and plan drawing for domestic housing
