Operations Data Analyst Support

Position Overview

This role will work closely with the Operations team to preserve integrity and accuracy of the data system. They will assist in identifying flaws in operations and business models, investigating workflows, maintain list of materials within the ERP and recommend workable changes.

Responsibilities

• Support the effective implementation of ECO (Engineering Change Order) processes to ensure BOM accuracy and change process efficiency. 

Daily responsibility will include:

• Manual entry of data in Oracle ERP system. 
• Completing Engineering Change Request (ECR) process, by:
  • creating new items in the system
  • updating items revisions
  • adding cost to new items
  • updating Bill of materials
• Liaison with the engineering team to confirm data accuracy and integrity.

Weekly responsibility will include:

• Compiling reports from extracted data out of the system.
• Manually extracting bills of material from ERP. 
• Investigate operation sequence errors, where item have not been assigned in the correct operational installation sequence. 
• Internal discussions with Production Manager / Manufacturing Engineering to confirm problems arising from BoM Errors.

Improvement Projects to be focus on:

• Continuous improvement of the ECR process, by contributing to the stakeholder group investigating what all department required out of the process and what other department inputs must be. 
• Create and drive IT ticket requests for the creation of new reports by completing detail request form to guide the IT team on the specific requirements and desired outcome. 
• Works order/Build sheet/Build card reconstruction and maintenance. Understanding how the setup works and creating document on how to populate and maintain it.
• Investigate and improve the item phase-out and supersession process. Defining the process, creating a flow diagram and getting it approved by all stakeholders. 
• Investigate and document the item life cycle stages and timeline. Redefining and improving the process. 
• Investigate and document the works order (production job) life cycle and timeline, form Order Acknowledgement to Invoicing. Work towards being able to illustrate how the order effects the departments. 
• Investigate and document the Bill of Material (production job) life cycle and timeline, form Order Acknowledgement to Invoicing. Work towards being able to illustrate how the order effects the departments. 
• Any other duties as required by the Operations Data Analyst including taking part in any training as required.

Experience and Qualifications

• Must be able to work with data loading programs, from DataLoad, to more advanced API tools like More4Apps and API Wizard.
• Candidate must be able to work autonomously on improvement projects.
• The primary focus of the role involves working closely with internal stakeholders on-site at our manufacturing facility in Eagle Farm. We can accommodate remote work for specific projects as needed.
• Previous experience in manufacturing operations is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
