Form of work Randstad Data is currently working with a State Government Department to find a Senior Data Migration Specialist to join their team for a contract until 30th of June, with the strong chance of extension past that point. The right candidate has a strong background in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and extensive expertise in Data Migration from legacy SQL systems to D365.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
Proficient in developing and implementing ETL solutions using Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and other Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
Create and maintain source-to-target mapping, transformation rules, loading methodology, error and exception reporting, and implementation documents to support ETL processes.
Execute ETL processes to refresh the target database or data mart via multiple sources.
Exceptional SQL scripting, data management, and data analysis skills, including expertise with SSIS integration tools.
Acumen in data protection practices.
Advanced understanding of database design and management.
Experience working with large datasets in various formats and structures.
Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Java, and Python.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognise patterns or trends in data.
Familiarity with models related to the field, including database design development, data mining techniques, segmentation techniques, XML programming, JavaScript, and ETL frameworks.
Necessary Skills:
Proven experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and straight SQL.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Data Migration Specialist from legacy SQL systems to D365.
Exceptional SQL Scripting, data management, and data analysis skills.
Experience with ETL solutions using Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and other RDBMS databases.
Ability to create and maintain source-to-target mapping, transformation rules, loading methodology, error and exception reporting, and implementation documents.
Familiarity with Azure Data Factory setup, Azure pipeline health checks, and Visual Studio.
