About the Role :
We are working with a range of clients in Government, Retail, Utilities, Finance and Logistics and are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Lead to join our team.
As the Operations Lead for the Data, Reporting and AI Platform, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising the operational aspects of the platform, ensuring it is functioning correctly and supports the diverse needs of our data initiatives.
This role requires a seasoned operations professional with a deep understanding of platform management, data processing, reporting systems, and AI workflows. This platform is being designed to use market-leading technologies and will serve as the cornerstone for our modern reporting and AI solutions accessed by many of our clients and contact centres.
We are in the early stages of executing our Digital Strategy, so as the Operations Lead in the team, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation and delivery, influencing the strategic direction of our data, reporting and AI capabilities.
As the Operations Lead you will :
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Data, Reporting, and AI platform, ensuring security, reliability, scalability and performance.
Implement and maintain operational procedures to maximize the platform's efficiency and identify opportunities for optimisations and improvements.
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand platform requirements and facilitate effective utilisation of the platform's technical capabilities.
Inform monitoring solutions needed to track system performance and costs
Oversee processes for managing incidents and platform-related issues, working closely with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges promptly.
Enforce security and management procedures to protect the platform and data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Manage relationships with external vendors, evaluate vendor performance and contracts, and monitor resource usage and adjust allocations.
Support the development of training and education programs to support onboarding users and keep them informed of platform capabilities.
Key Skills and Attributes Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Minimum 10 years experience managing and optimising data, reporting and AI solutions.
Experience managing modern Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Science platforms
Experience with analytical technologies being used at scale, including depth in one or more of the following areas:
Azure and AWS cloud services including AWS S3, Lambda, RedShift, SageMaker and Bedrock. Azure Blob Storage, Data Factory, Synapse, OpenAI.
Analytical platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Jupyter Notebooks, PowerBI.
Experience with DevOps, infrastructure as code and configuration management.
Working in a 'hands on' style, but conversely are able to strategically manage resources to be successful in your role.
