Think Water is an established, Member owned franchising group in irrigation, pumping and water solutions, focused on meeting the rapidly changing landscape of water management in Australasia. Our in-depth knowledge of our industry sector provides us with a distinct point of difference and has helped us to remain strong as a group through periods of economic adversity. The 60+ network is in a growth phase, with a well-established presence in Australia and New Zealand. We are seeking to appoint a brand ambassador to support our current and future objectives for the Group in specific territories in Australia. You will be joining a small, but driven team with locations based in Brisbane, Victoria, Auckland, and the Philippines.
The role:
Reporting to the Managing Director for the Think Water Group and working with the National Support Office, the primary objective of this position is the support, development and implementation of business systems, services and strategies that will provide a net benefit to the franchise owners of the Group. The core areas of focus in this role will include:
- Development of specific territories in the Australia franchise network.
- Support the Network Development Manager to identify and bring on new Members.
- The ability to work closely with a wide range of personalities and skillsets.
- Advice and guidance to franchisees relating to their business performance to improve profitability.
- Ensuring franchisees are complying with the terms and conditions of their franchising agreements.
- Managing supplier relationships, contracts and negotiating trading terms.
- Provision of guidance with business development, marketing, and promotional activities from strategy to execution.
- Retail, merchandising, HR, and WH&S support.
- Identify and provide training opportunities for Members and their teams.
The successful candidate:
We anticipate the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A background in retail operations with a solid understanding of retail, merchandising, financial reporting, safety, and project management practices, ideally within a multi store agribusiness setting.
- Experience in the Australian irrigation industry with a good knowledge of the industry practices, project management and contracts are preferred but not essential.
- Successful track record in developing markets, negotiating, and implementing trading terms with key suppliers.
- Experience in category management and supplier negotiation.
- Ideally a background in franchising or multi store management – running a franchise operation or overseeing the performance of multi store or franchise businesses.
- Experience in business management and developing and implementing business systems to a multi store business.
- Strong people skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively, autonomously with self-drive & able to travel extensively.
- Superior skills in problem solving, time management and project management.
- A leader who works with a high degree of empathy and professionalism and enjoys helping others to succeed with the ability to hold our stores accountable and ensure compliant with our corporate guidelines.
