Operations Manager Civil Project Delivery
About the role
Reporting to the Manager Works, the Operations Manager Civil Project Delivery will lead, coordinate and support the operation of Council's project delivery function across the civil, recreation and building areas, supporting the objectives of Council's community strategic plan and delivery program.
This role will provide input into the development of Council's Capital Works program, monitor budgets and prepare reports for submission to Council. As the Operations Manager Civil Project Delivery, you will also manage a team of subject matter experts and will be responsible for ensuring works are carried out as required in accordance with Council objectives. Acting as a member of Council's leadership team within the City Services directorate, you will demonstrate a high commitment to safety, foster a positive and collaborative work environment and support staff in the execution of their daily duties.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess degree level qualifications in Civil Engineering, and contemporary industry experience in roads, drainage and footpath infrastructure projects. You will have a natural ability to lead, coach and support staff and a capacity to forge strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your commitment to modelling and promoting a positive workplace culture will be reflected in your own values and your ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation in a respectful and thoughtful manner. Most importantly, you will bring a strategic, business-focused approach to Council projects and operational requirements.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time opportunity. This position will work 35 hours per week paying $131,042-$145,457 per year + private leaseback vehicle.
