About the role
As the Operations Manager your role is to leads the day-to-day operations, including but not limited to stakeholder management, resourcing, budgeting and the overall management and delivery of complex projects safely, on time and on budget.

- Display a passion for leading electrical projects from beginning to end, whilst reviewing systems and advising improvements.
- Able to liaise with contractors, clients, vendors and other stakeholders on a technical level and present reports, publications, and presentations in a professional manner.
- High attention to detail with the ability to remain organised to meet deadlines.
- Able to manage project start-up, maintains project programmes and ensures effective handover, including holding regular monthly project management meetings.
- You can hold yourself and team accountable to delivering with efficiency and effectiveness, and of consistently high standards.
- You can ensure all project operations are compliant with company management systems and uphold a positive representation of Maali Group.
- Able to support and maintain contractual compliance in line with the terms and conditions of contract.
- You make decisions that reflects your understanding the profitability of project and considers the impact of costs on decisions and changes.
- Able to analyse and control project expenditure and duration to ensure pre-determined project targets and goals are achieved.
- Ensure that resources are available and employed efficiently to meet the business unit objectives.
- Able to ensure all project operations are compliant with company management systems including compilation, timely and accurate forecasting of project and job final revenues and profit margins.
- Provide monthly input to month end forward forecasting and WIP.
- You support delivering positive outcomes for Aboriginal businesses and employees, in line with minimum KPI’s that are set by the business.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified electrician or electrical engineer with previous experience in overseeing a variety of electrical projects
- Develop and review electrical planning and monitor the progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule and within cost estimates.
- Able to manage variations, liaising with clients and contract administrators.
- Analysis and interpretation of drawings, specifications, and contract scope
- Drivers Licence C Class – Unrestricted
- Safety focused and able to contribute to continual business development and improvements.
Desired Requirements:
- WA electrical licence
- Qualification in electrical engineering
- Experience working with Aboriginal peoples and business.
- Leadership training
- Project Management qualification
- P&L experience
- Relevant degree in engineering/construction equivalent
- Minimum 5 years project management experience
