As an importer, distributor and provider of specialised Products, Services and Solutions, our major clients are in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Power & Energy, Civil Infrastructure, Rail and Communications sectors. 

The Role

An exciting administration/sales opportunity has become available to support our administrative, sales and operations teams within our Adelaide Branch and will be relocating to Para Hills June/July 2024. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience and interests within the administrative, sales and operations processes within our Branch. Considering the Products, Services and Solutions we offer our Customers, the role will definitely offer a technically minded candidate many opportunities and challenges, so this could be the role for you.

Duties Required

As the Operations and Sales Administrator, you will have a high level of resilience and be able to demonstrate the following types of performance attributes:

  • Be the primary point of contact for visitors and phone enquiries
  • Coordinate and manage office facilities and premises as required
  • Prepare general correspondence related to Branch activities
  • Data entry requirements supporting our business systems and processes
  • Assist the Sales team as required with customer enquiries, quotes, follow ups
  • General administrative duties such as banking, stationery and consumables ordering for the Branch.
  • Undertake accounts payable and receivable activities aligned to the financial processes within the business
  • Receipting in of goods/services delivered to the branch
  • Enter purchase orders/invoices into our ERP System (MOPRO)
  • Process payments 
  • Liaise with staff, suppliers and customers both locally and nationally
  • Proactively support the service/repair administrative and quotation processes within the Branch
  • Work with the Branch team to ensure all Warehouse Inventory is kept in a controlled and safe manner 
  • Work with the branch Manager in ensuring the Branch Showroom is always in a presentable manner

The key objective of this multipurpose role is to provide efficient and effective administrative support, basic accounts, Internal Sales, operations and inventory control support, where you will play a key role in establishing a safe and efficient operating environment within the Branch. 

What are we looking for in the successful candidate?

  • Previous experience in an operations/sales administration environment
  • Professional phone manner as you will be the customers ‘go to’
  • Competent skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills are a must to work effectively within multiple functions
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Strong customer service skills along with a can-do attitude
  • Passionate with an eye for detail and procedural support
  • Proactive approach to resolving queries and problems
  • Well-developed negotiation and influencing skills
  • Great attitude and able to build rapport quickly with existing and potential customers.
  • Role would also suit a person with technical aptitude and a hands-on mindset that has the administrative skills to work in an office/operational environment

To excel in this role, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, have excellent people skills and be comfortable pitching and presenting to customers regularly. In addition a positive safety culture is a must, as is your contribution towards developing an efficient and streamlined operating environment within the Branch.
