T-Ports specialises in bulk handling, storage and transshipping of grain using cutting-edge state of the art facilities and equipment. T-Ports operates two transshipment Ports, one at Lucky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula and one at Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula. As well as the two transshipment Ports, T-Ports operates up-country grain storage sites at Lock and Kimba and a transshipment vessel “Lucky Eyre” that discharges grain into ocean-going vessels at sea. About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this hands-on position will undertake planning, coordination, supervision, and management of all operational day to day tasks and personnel to ensure the efficient, compliant, and safe handling of grain within T-Ports site at Lock.
- Permanent full-time role
- Managing the planning, coordination, and supervision of the day-to-day operational tasks for bunker site.
- Ensure synergies with hygiene, inspections, documentation, quality, labour, and safety are consistent across the business
- Assist the Logistics Coordinator with the planning and execution of fumigation and accumulation plans, to coincide with grain / non grain exports / imports
- Managing a small team of ongoing staff and casual harvest staff.
- Assist the Quality Coordinator with grain quality and quantity to ensure it remains in good order as per client and T-Port’s specifications
- Managing rosters to ensure operational efficiency and resources are balanced and site hygiene is kept to a high standard
- Provide training and guidance to site operators to ensure they are appropriately skilled with grain receivals classification, quality parameters and operational tasks
- Undertake all duties in accordance with relevant work health and safety requirements and in accordance with T-Ports Work Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Sound computer skills including MS Office
- Travel between T-Ports sites will be required
Qualification and Experience requirements:
- Experience in a similar role within agriculture, food manufacturing, material handling, or similar industry - Essential
- A current C-class drivers' license- Essential
- Cert IV in frontline management or equivalent- Advantage
- Front end loader license - Essential or willing to obtain
