We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as an Operations Support Assistant.

Position Summary:

The Operations Support Assistant plays a pivotal role in streamlining operations and providing comprehensive support to both staff and families within Happy Haven OSHC. This role will be focusing on roster management, family support, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery. 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain rosters for all services, ensuring sufficient staff coverage and compliance with ratio requirements
  • Support in roster completion and communicate effectively with Happy Haven staff members
  • Respond promptly to calls and emails regarding rostering and family support
  • Maintain accurate employee and family records while upholding strict confidentiality standards
  • Assist families with enrolment, booking, and payment queries in a sensitive and professional manner
  • Provide timely and compassionate support to families and stakeholders, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts as needed
  • Contribute to the development and review of policies, procedures, and SOPs to enhance operational efficiency and compliance
  • Actively seek improvement opportunities and support team members as directed by senior leadership

What You Need:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in computer software packages and keyboard skills
  • Attention to detail and adherence to administrative procedures
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal government legal compliance requirements relating to the Child Care Subsidy, Additional Child Care Subsidy, and any other fee assistance measures available to users of OSHC
  • Knowledge of OSHC National Quality Framework and Children’s Services Award 2010
  • Experience in roster creation and maintenance
  • Qualification in Business Administration or other related field (desire)
  • Hold or willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (required)
  • Hold or be willing to obtain Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RHHAN-EC) certificate (required)
