Reporting to the Supervisor – Zinc/Lead Concentrator, your primary responsibility involves contributing to safe production in the Concentrator by using a comprehensive range of skills.While relevant experience is preferable, this position could also be an opportunity for an entry level candidate with suitable training provided. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and the work roster is 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off (12h shifts).The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating areas such as grinding, flotation, thickening and filtration circuits including equipment such as mills, conveyors, blowers, filters, pumps and agitators.
- Working closely with Maintenance and Metallurgy teams to ensure targets are met and that the operation runs efficiently.
- Assist in driving continuous improvement around the Concentrator.
- Self-motivated with a high standard of work.
- A pro-active approach to safety and continuous improvement.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a small team.
- Milling and Flotation experience is ideal.
- Control room experience will be highly regarded.
