Doral Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (DMS), mines and processes heavy mineral sands at Picton, Yalyalup and Keysbrook in the Southwest of WA. We are a medium sized business with a strong focus on our core values of safety, integrity, sustainability and collaboration. This role will provide an excellent opportunity if you are over FIFO, enjoy living by the coast and want to be a valued and integral part of a successful mining operation.
Reporting to the Production Superintendent and based primarily at our Keysbrook mine site.
The ideal candidate for this role will have processing plant operation experience.
The position will be responsible for the successful completion of the following duties and roles:
- Operate and control Fixed Plant using a control system (SCADA-Citect)
- Operate plant and equipment in a manner to minimise down time and parts consumption.
- Continually monitor the plant for abnormal signs of operation and take appropriate action to rectify the problem or notify the appropriate personnel.
- Carry out fault finding of the plant and report your findings to your senior operator or production manager. Fix the faults within the limit of your ability and training.
- Carry out housekeeping of the plant to ensure a neat and tidy environment is maintained.
- Carry out mechanical repairs to the plant within the limit of your ability and training.
- Operate mobile equipment according to standard procedures and as directed.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self motivated with excellent problem solving skills
- Mobile plant experience (Front end loader)
