Operator/Maintainer
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operator/Maintainer to be based at our Silver Springs site.
This position works as part of the production team with responsibilities in plant and field maintenance, heavy plant and equipment operating and support in the operation of the plant and field assets.
This role will require someone to work a 2 week on/2 weeks off roster in a remote area, including a 6 nights per shift on-call.
What you’ll be doing:
The key accountabilities of the role are to ensure the safe and sustainable production of the assets.
Carry out maintenance on gas compressors, gas and diesel generators, Field beam pumps, heavy and light vehicles.
Assist with operation of plant as required.
Maintain good housekeeping of allocated workspace.
Participate in risk assessments for the safe undertaking of tasks.
Carry out stock takes, replacement of parts and consumables.
Maintain equipment to a high standard to achieve minimal down time.
Participate and contribute to the AGL HSE goals.
Carry out inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve general maintenance.
What you'll bring to the role:
Mechanical Trade qualification with previous maintenance and gas operations
Type B Gas licence highly advantageous
Previous experience and good technical knowledge of maintaining gas compressors (eg: Ajax, Caterpillar, Waukesha, Superior or Aerial)
Heavy plant and equipment licenses (RIIMPO****)
Heavy Combination Truck License
Have input in a dynamic team
Strong and positive attitude towards a safe workplace
Ability to take ownership and work within a small team
FIFO/DIDO depending on location, local personnel preferred
