Denison Gas is a successful family friendly gas company producing and exploring in the Denison Trough and Bowen basins in Central Queensland with facilities in Injune & Rolleston. We are enjoying strong and successful growth and we now need a Process Plant Operator/Maintainer to join our friendly team.

We are looking for a highly motivated Process Plant Operator/Maintainer to join our growing team. The site roster is 2 weeks on & 2 weeks off with accommodation provided on site. 

Travel assistance is available FIFO from Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba or the role would be ideal for someone who resides within 6 hours driving distance of Injune in Central Queensland.

The Role 

Reporting to the Site Supervisor this role will require you to work within a team environment. The Process Plant Operator/Maintainers role is very diverse within a small operations team that produces Natural gas & Hydrocarbon Liquids to the domestic market, while ensuring safe & reliable operation of plant & equipment.

The role requires you to perform operational tasks to optimise the production of the facilities as well as to perform major & minor maintenance on our fleet of gas driven reciprocating compressors as well as our associated plant processing equipment to a high standard of reliability & safety.

All completed tasks will be captured within our Computer Maintenance System.

Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate

* Previous experience as Process Plant Operator within the oil & gas industry  

* Previous experience operating Gas Compression & gas process equipment.

* Previous experience working with SCADA systems. 

* Previous experience working under a permit to work system.

* Strong positive attitude towards a safe work place

* Perform hazard identification and evaluation, implement and maintain hazard mitigation strategies

* Liaise with engineering disciplines to ensure plant safety, reliability & optimisation.

* Experience working with Computerised Maintenance Management System (MEX).

* Demonstrate good housekeeping skills & take ownership of assets

* Good computer skills with experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.

* Excellent organisation and house-keeping skills.

* Great teamwork and excellent communications skills.

Required and Desired skills:

• Previous experience operating Gas Compressors.
• Current Qld Drivers licence is required.
• Truck licence (MR) is desirable.
• Forklift, EWP, working at heights ticket is desirable.
• Experience working in the oil & gas sector is desirable.
• Experience in working remotely and unsupervised.
• Experience in working 2 week on and 2 week off roster.

Qualifications:

• Certificate 3 in process plant operations is desirable.
• Certificate on Type B Gas Appliance is desirable.
• Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification is desirable.
