About the role

We are looking for Mobile Plant, Fixed Plant and Drill & Blast Operators to join the team. This is a great opportunity for experienced, safety focused Operators or Operators from different industries with transferrable skills to join the Rio Tinto Iron Ore team on a permanent basis flying from Albany.

What you’ll bring

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• An Australian C Class manual drivers’ licence or higher
• Ability to work safely and cooperatively in a team, demonstrating flexibility to business requirements
• You must be currently residing in the Albany region
• Proof of permanent Australian residency with full working rights without the need for sponsorship

Ideal candidates for the below area’s will have the following experience:
Mobile Plant Operators
Experience operating at least one of the below, ideally in an Autonomous Pit:- Haul Trucks: 730E, 830E, 930E, CAT793
- Dozers: D10/D11
- Loaders/Diggers: EX 2500 / EX 3600 / EX5600, WA 1200, LT 1850, CAT 992, 994
- Graders: CAT16, CAT18, CAT24
- Water Cart: CAT 777 or Komatsu 785
Fixed Plant Operators
- Demonstrated experience in operating fixed plant
- Current Confined Space and Working at Heights certificates (desirable)
- High Risk Work Licence
- EWP, RI, LF (desirable)
Drill & Blast Operators
- A Dangerous goods license is preferred
- A Shot firer’s license is essential
- Blast hole drilling experience - Pit Viper 271, D65, XLF and Cubex
- MPU, small loader and stock take magazine experience
