Lime Recruitment is currently working with a government department to recruit an Oracle Developer contract to 20/06/2025 based at Carseldine CBD and working from home.
In this role you will:
- Provide Oracle (Forms and Reports) application development and maintenance skills for the Business As Usual and Minor Works undertaking analysis, design, construction and system testing tasks within the Oracle environment.
- Experience in Java application development would be viewed as highly desirable
- Work closely with stakeholders to analyse requirements and advise on technical constraints or opportunities.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams comprising of project managers, technical leads, business analysts, developers, testers and external providers in the design, development, testing and support of software applications.
- Develop documentation relating to development and enhancements, including production of user stories, technical design documentation and contribution to end user documentation.
- Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of the full range of applications in the Oracle Developer suite.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to team members and product stakeholders on requirements for development.
- Provide estimates, progress reporting and notifications of slippage Application Services management team.
- Embrace Agile delivery methodologies and work with the delivery team to adapt Agile practice to the flavours required by the delivery team.
- Conduct unit testing and assist in system and integration testing of the code ensuring conformance to specifications, standards and accepted practice.
- Work closely with testing team members to support technical requirements for systems testing and user acceptance testing as required and support test staff in all aspects of test execution.
- Undertake quality reviews, peer reviews and production support activities
- Keep abreast of, and contribute to the development standards, ensuring that standards are adhered to in all work undertaken.
- Keep abreast of developments in the Oracle product and participate in knowledge levelling sessions with team members to ensure best current approach and practice are always maintained.
- Be available to work outside standard hours and be responsible for aspects of the process to release code into production when required.
- Provide timesheets and task feedback to management weekly, using the standard ITB software.
- Provide skills transfer to the staff, including documentation of decisions made and the approach taken; and other activities as directed by Application Manager.
