Oral Health Services is in the Division of Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Services and offers a range of public dental services to the community including:
Child and Youth dental services to all children under the age of 14 years who live in or attend an ACT school.
Young people under the age of 18 with access to a Centrelink-issued Pension Concession or Health Care Card.
Adult dental services for ACT residents who are the primary holder of a Centrelink-issued Pension Concession or Health Care Card.
Whilst providing services that include, preventative dental interventions and health promotion, emergency dental care, restorative and prosthetic dental care and some orthodontic interventions for eligible clients.
These services are delivered in the community to:

Belconnen Health Centre
Civic Health Centre
Phillip Health Centre
Tuggeranong Health Centre
Alexander Maconochie Centre
Mobile Dental Clinics
The Oral Health Services Project Support Officer will support the Director and the Oral Health Services (OHS) Reform Project Lead to implement strategies and recommendations following the Oral Health Services Model of Care and Governance review, and coordinate the implementation of AS/NZS 4187 standards to the service.
The role will work in collaboration with the key stakeholder across the OHS service including the Senior Leadership team, Human Resources and Finance Officer.
The Project Support Officer will be responsible for drafting correspondence, minutes and briefs as well as maintaining high level documentation. They will provide secretariat support to several committees, ensuring timely completion of project tasks.
A key element will be engaging with internal and external stakeholders and managing stakeholders’ expectations to deliver agreed project outcomes.
DUTIES
Reporting to the Director, Canberra Health Services (CHS) Oral Health Services you will be responsible for the administrative activities required to support the OHS 4187 Implementation Project. The position will work with the OHS leadership team by proactively providing support to Working Groups, Clinical Leads, and other key stakeholders. You will:
Provide high level administrative and project support to the Oral Health Services Reform Project Lead and the Director to achieve quality and timely completion of project tasks and other duties as assigned.
Assist with developing and maintaining effective documentation, registers, schedules, and reporting tools, whilst providing secretariat support for key working groups and committees.
Monitor communication channels, logging critical communication, engaging stakeholders, and coordinating action requests as required.
Assist with monitoring and documenting tasks and progressing their outcomes.
Manage Outlook calendars and email correspondence, including a generic Inbox, ensuring prompt action is taken on urgent or priority matters.
Prepare and provide high level briefings and reports against key deliverables and implementation of recommendations.
Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Previous experience working within a project team, would be highly regarded.
The successful applicant may need to be available for occasional weekend and after-hours work, with access to flex time, as the project nears go-live.
- Have an understanding of how the National Standards and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role as detailed in the CHS Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework and all other related frameworks.
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
WHAT YOU REQUIRE

Proven ability in providing high level project and administrative support including secretariat functions.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including liaison and accuracy of written documentation.
Ability to monitor and determine priorities to meet deadlines, using initiative to work effectively both individually and within a team.
Proven ability to use technology including Microsoft Office, Excel and Teams.
