Oral Health Therapist / Dental Hygienist (Orthodontics)

We are seeking a Casual Oral Health Therapist/Dental Hygienist available to join our busy Orthodontic Practice in the Fairfield-Liverpool Region, initially as a maternity leave replacement, with a view to potentially join permanently after 12 months. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, fun and energetic person to be a part of our dedicated and professional team.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

1. Assisting the provision of orthodontic services to patients, under the supervision of the Orthodontists
2. If required - sterilisation, lab work, clerical and administration work

The successful applicant must:

• Be a qualified Oral Health Therapist/Dental Hygienist (experience preferred but not essential)
• Have full AHPRA registration (or temporary registration pending graduation)
• Have Professional Indemnity insurance
• Have the ability to adapt quickly and work independently with minimal supervision
• Have high attention to detail and good time management
• Demonstrate computer literacy
• Be able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
• Be a team-player
• Have access to their own vehicle

The ideal candidate should also have:

• A high level of personal hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness
• Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills - have the ability to build rapport with patients
• Good work ethics
• Orthodontic experience preferred but not essential - pay negotiable based on the level of experience and number of available days.

Successful applicant must demonstrate the ability to be efficient and effective in the delivery of treatment, adaptable and flexible, willing to learn and have a high professional standard. They must exhibit a high degree of maturity but are able to communicate easily with a wide range of patient ages.
