Jewish Care Victoria, is a not-for-profit organisation and is one of the largest providers of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria and has been servicing the community for 175 years. Our staff come from  diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. We offer an Ethos Day—an enriching learning experience that delves into the intricacies of Jewish history and culture. This day aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of the ethos and mission of Jewish Care.  

The role

As Jewish Care's Organisational Improvement Manager, you will collaborate with our leaders in the design and delivery of Jewish Care’s Continuous Improvement Framework, aligning the Framework with our strategic vision and goals. Our three pillars of focus will guide you: people, process and culture to influence teams and individuals to facilitate and champion improvement. Your expert advice, support and identification of business improvement and innovation opportunities is essential. This includes evaluating, implementing and tracking service enhancement initiatives and reviewing operational performance through analysis and reporting.

Your experience, initiative and drive will enhance a culture of future improvements and innovation across the whole organisation.

What you will do

• Manage the continuous improvement cycle and associated activities
• Work collaboratively with all Senior Leaders and management to evaluate existing service delivery and assess areas to refine and further develop
• Undertake ongoing business/service analysis to drive improvements in efficiency and effectiveness
• Effectively participate in our Strategic, Service and Business planning processes and comply with planning and reporting requirements
• Ensure performance excellence and organisational capability in the portfolio consistent with Jewsh Care’s capability framework
• Provide advice and approval for all financial and budgetary aspects of the continuous improvement program
• Actively gain knowledge relevant to contemporary people and culture as well as aged care, community care and disability research and practice

What you will bring

• Experience as an improvement specialist or similarly experienced leader preferable with a health background
• Demonstrated understanding of the role and function of Aged Care, Disability, and Community Care services within the Australian health system
• Degree qualification in health management, clinical discipline, process improvement, project management or related discipline
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop implementation strategies which will deliver desired organisational outcomes
• Ability to maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with all multidisciplinary team members across multiple locations
• Demonstrated ability to coach staff in improvement principles and methods
• A flexible, positive and collaborative working style
