A service based in Mount Egerton is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 12 hours per week year round - the perfect balance! 

Hours will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 03:00 – 06:00 PM  (Stay and Play Program) plus 3 additional admin hours. There is also the option to pick up additional afternoon shifts at neighbouring schools.

About the role 

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service. 

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into! 
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents 
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the service 

Based in Mount Egerton, this service is embedded in a caring and close-knit community. You'll have the chance to be involved in school and broader community events, as well picking up shifts with other services nearby if that interested you. They have a small attendance of roughly 10 kids, meaning you can get to know each of your students and their families well. 

Who are we looking for? 

A few basics you need to have: 

  • Ability to work autonomously, as you will be the sole staff member on site at times
  • Confident communication skills
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children 
  • Australian work  rights 
  • Holds or is working towards a Diploma level or higher qualification in an ACECQA approved area (see the ACECQA website for more information)
