About the service
Lane Cove West, Helping Hands is a large 100-place service with a great team in a growing, inclusive, and positive school, focused on developing lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.
Lane Cove West, Helping Hands is looking for a passionate Inclusion Support Educator to provide direct one on one support and assistance to children and young people to access, participate and be included while in our before and after school care capacity.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity (38 hours per week) where you will work within a team environment to promote skill development and work to achieve the individual goals of the child or young person, including support to overcome barriers to genuine inclusion.
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
- Enjoy working with kids
- Background in Disability / Inclusion Support
- Qualifications within the disability sector strongly desired
- Strong and clear communication
- Team player where you will work closely with Educators and Coordinators where appropriate
- Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
- Australian work rights
