Job description

This role is a great opportunity for someone with leadership experience in managing multiple sites, and a passion for working with children.

We are looking for an Outside School Hours Care Mobile Coordinator to support our services ranging from Croydon Hills, eastern suburb all the way down to Pakenham, south-eastern suburb of Melbourne.

The role in a nutshell

Reporting to a Regional Director, as a Mobile Coordinator you are a roving ratio, supporting numerous services as required, with a core focus on stepping into leadership roles at various occasions. You will manage the workforce in your portfolio, including rostering, casual and agency utilisation, and manage planned and unplanned staffing gaps to meet ratio requirements. While your minimum guaranteed hours are 27:00 per week, you will be required to take on full-time responsibilities as needed.

You will:

  • Effectively develop, implement, and monitor OSHC/OOSH programs and activities that align with the 'My Time, Our Place Framework' or a similar framework for School Age Care in Australia.
  • Ensure quality and compliance in service delivery, and work with your team towards excellent rating and assessment outcomes
  • Lead and manage Service Coordinator training, performance, and development
  • Minimise risk and manage safety in services
  • Manage rosters to ensure effective utilisation of team members to ensure engagement and retention

Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and JAG, but a few basics you need to have:

  • Minimum Diploma qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Diploma in Children’s Services), or have completed minimum 2 years of full time study in a relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children in a leadership position
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check, or state required check
  • Current driver's license is required
  • Experience working with children within a group environment
  • Availability over split shifts, Monday to Friday
