Quickstepz Paediatric Therapy is looking for a Therapy Assistant/OT Aide to join our close-knit team.
Seeking an applicant with an Educator/OT Aide/Therapy Assistant or a career changer with a diploma/degree in early childhood education to join our team and impact young lives. In order to develop integrated, all-encompassing treatment plans, you will work with our Occupational Therapist to plan sessions and work with a high level of independence. Your main responsibility will be to support our clients during their therapy journey through early development by delivering therapy activities that are adapted to their individual needs and keeping track of their progress. You will be supported to help children meet their learning and development goals and be guided in your own learning and career development. Best of all you will be a key part of a child’s early intervention journey, involved in supporting the child and their families through the most important period of their lives.
Casual position (5 days per week). Happy to have the applicant start part time and build up to full time hours.

Role of an OT Aide/Therapy Assistant
- Deliver high quality, individualised services adhering to therapy plans provided by therapists
- Monitor the progress towards client goals
- Research and recommend tasks and activities based on clients’ developmental stage/abilities
- Engage family members and caregivers in clients’ program
- Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, clients, families, and preschools.

Skills & Experience
To be eligible to apply for this role, you will need:
- Diploma in Early Childhood (or equivalent)
- Or; Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and/or Primary) or equivalent
- Additional studies in disability, special education, or allied health are desirable
- Minimum 8-10 years teaching experience
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Exemplary communication skills
- A compassionate and resilient personality
- Proficient written skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes and utilise evidence-based practice
- Professional, warm and empathetic approach to clients
- Willingness to learn, grow, and provide excellent services to children within a team environment
- This role is in the Hills District and involves travel so it is desirable that you live in this area (Castle Hill, Kellyville, Schofields, Box Hill, Glenwood, Riverwood, Masden Park). We also have clients in the West Pennant Hills area.
- Saturday work is an option.

- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Valid National Police Check
- Current Drivers Licence and reliable car
