Selection Criteria
SC1 Demonstrated capacity to plan and implement an Out Of School Hours Care Program, which complies with all State and Federal government regulations and requirements and is inclusive, stimulating, and developmentally sound in a safe, secure and caring environment.
SC2 Possess the appropriate personal skills including confidentiality, flexibility, integrity, sensitivity and the ability to relate to and manage school aged children from 5 to 12 years, including those children with special needs.
SC3 Demonstrated management and computer skills to maintain records including enrolments, attendances, family details, finances, medical information and prepare regular reports for the Outside Schools Hours Program subcommittee to the School Council.
SC4 Demonstrated capacity to work without supervision, to liaise effectively with appropriate agencies and to maintain positive links and communication with all members of the school community.
SC5 Excellent communication skills and demonstrated capacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teaching and support staff, students, parents and community organisations.
Role
To be considered for the role the successful candidate must have:
A current Working with Children Check (employment).
Diploma of Children¿s Services (Outside of School Hours Care) or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Diploma of Out of School Hours Care or Diploma of School Age Education and Care or Diploma or higher in teaching or other relevant teaching qualifications or you are enrolled in and working towards any of the above qualifications.
A current HLTAID004 first Aid certificate including Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training.
Responsibilities
Be familiar with the following: Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Quality Standard, and `My Time, Our Place Framework for School Age Care in Australia¿, the Child Safe Standards.
Finance - manage the budget for OSHC which includes developing an annual budget for presentation at Finance and School Council, monitor budget expenditure and revenue throughout the year, work with the school Business Manager to use the appropriate software package to invoice families and to provide detailed reports each month to OSHC sub-committee and School Council.
Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the program.
Provide appropriate induction and associated paperwork for new children and parents.
Oversee, maintain and action the implementation of the programs pertaining to OSHC.
Develop and maintain up to date policies as required.
Maintain the Emergency Management Plan for OSHC Program - including development in coordination with the Principal annually.
Facilitate the planning of activities to engage all children at OSHC, allowing children the opportunity to make choices and give them ownership of the program.
Facilitate and conduct the necessary documentation of observations and reflections on children¿s interaction with the program and their development within the program.
Ensure Food Safety is managed and oversee a high standard of cleanliness within the food preparation area and OSHC room.

Part Time Out of School Hours Care Co-ordinator $70,000 ¿ $89,000 pro rata We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and effective person to lead our dynamic and creative team and to become part of our community. Willmott Park operates a highly valued and successful Out of Schools Hours Care program registered to accommodate up to 75 students from Prep to Year 6. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and has outstanding skills in coordinating an OSHC program. We care about our staff at Willmott. You will be offered a wealth of professional development opportunities and networking resources. Admin support time will be given to ensure that all policies and procedures, curriculum and Quality Standards are met. You will collaborate, meet and be offered assistance from a passionate and experienced leadership team that values your input and supports your career in education and care. You will have creative freedom to craft child led programs and curriculum, putting your unique touch on education at Willmott. We ensure our staff have a work life balance therefore, you can choose either split shift or block shift options. The successful applicant will: ¿ Have an understanding of how children develop and learn ¿ An ability or organise stimulating and engaging programs and activities ¿ Have a sound knowledge of the `My Time, Our Place¿ curriculum ¿ Experience with implementing and maintaining the National Quality Standards ¿ Detailed understanding, implementing and developing of high-quality practice and policies ¿ Clearly demonstrate high level management skills to co-ordinate all aspects of the program ¿ Knowledge of the Qikkids administration and finance suite. We are looking for someone with exemplary communication skills, organisational skills, and time management. This role will be a 1 year contract with a further extension, part-time with an average 22.8 hours plus additional admin hours. The service is open between Monday - Friday, 7:00 - 9:00 AM and 03:30 - 6:30 PM during the school term. All applicants will need to hold a current WWCC, First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates and hold a minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education qualification. A current food handlers certificate is desirable but not essential. Willmott Park Primary School is located in a n=lovely culdesac of Craigieburn.
Currently we have an approimate total of 680 students enrolled for 2024.
