UGL Industrials & Resources are seeking applications from experienced Outage Schedulers experienced with Primavera P6 to join our site-based team in the Darling Downs region. You will be based on a heavy industrial site in the power generation industry with accommodation and meal allowance, mobilisation and demobilisation paid with 10 – 11hr days.
This position will see you join a reputable company with a highly experienced team who work together to develop and provide solutions for our customers.
About the role
As a key member of the team, your leadership skills will ensure that all work meets the standards in relation to safety, quality, schedule and cost. You will be:
- Schedule and reporting of shutdown / outage activities and overall development of the outage plan
- Adopt industry best practices in order to achieve an efficient and practical plan
- Deliver to the project milestones
- Deliver our promise to the customer
- Build and maintain relationships with all parties
- Foster a culture of inclusion, responsiveness, honesty and accountability
You will inspire your team, draw on their diverse skills and create environments where great ideas are heard, and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally you will have:
- Experienced Mechanical Trade background and / or degree qualified
- Minimum 5 years’ experience performing similar outages & turnarounds in similar industries (Power Generation, Refinery, Petro Chemical, continuous processing plant)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Planner / Work pack / Scheduler position, preferably with power generation industry experience
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, Primavera P6, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

- Quality management systems knowledge and demonstrated understanding
- Proven program management
- Ability to contribute to a high-performing team
