In this newly created role, you will work in an operations team that develops and manages innovative, secure service solutions to meet clients' needs. Join the team responsible for the governance and oversight framework in this highly critical role for the Securities Services Operations Team.
As the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Outsourcing Oversight Governance Officer in the Governance and Oversight team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the governance framework that supports the current outsourcing requirements and extends to the uplift requirements as set out in the Prudential Standards. You will also provide local leadership and support the continuously increasing regulatory agenda for Australia and New Zealand, ensure adherence with the regulatory delivery schedule, guide the oversight and governance of core operations functional teams and assessing existing initiatives that support the strategic and regulatory agenda from a Line of Business perspective. In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Leads across the jurisdictions/locations in which Securities Services operations to provide senior management with appropriate oversight of the governance agenda on outsourcing.
Job responsibilities
- Implement a structure to review and act on KPI's on outsourced activities.
- Co-ordinate materials and participate in internal and external outsourcing, governance and oversight meetings/reviews.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders in preparation for internal and external outsourcing requirements.
- Reinforce the firm wide outsourcing control framework to ensure consistency and transparency.
- Lead outsourcing deep dives and project working groups.
- Co-ordinate an annual re-certification of outsourced activities and planning as appropriate.
- Issue identification, remediation and action plan management. Escalate outsourcing issues when/ where appropriate.
- Review and Update controls relating to outsourcing in CORE. Ensure Risk Event standards and compliance are followed.
- Analysis and mapping of Regulatory Change events as part of the Legal and Regulatory Change Management program on operations outsourcing including close liaison with Regulatory Practice teams.
- Metric analysis to identify themes which are relevant to management of the business.
- Extracting data and performing analysis information from various core systems.
- Relevant knowledge and experience will be considered in conjunction with related business degree, or industry recognized training.
- Extensive experience in overseeing and governing outsourced and production services in an international environment, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing risk.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills to review oversight results, assess impact, identify trends to help maintain an efficient and effective outsourcing model.
- Ability to challenge the outsourced functions across the globe to ensure robust operating model.
- Excellent organisation and ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous workstreams.
- Experience of working within a globally distributed mode.
- Team player with aptitude for risk management, compliance and oversight and control.
- Effective interpersonal skills and able to communicate information in a simple manner to senior managers through visualisation and storytelling. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Employee advocacy / training on regulatory expectation to perform their functional roles more effectively. Experience in an investment banking regulatory, compliance or operational team
- Process mapping/re-engineering experience
