About the role
The Logistics Team (Inwards Goods, Warehouse, Outwards Goods and International) are responsible for ensuring raw and manufactured goods are received, stored and packed, ready for dispatch, in full and on time, every time.
Reporting to the Outwards Goods Team Lead, the Outwards Goods Support (PM Shift) is responsible for providing excellent customer service through the picking, packing and dispatch of goods, with a specific focus on Short Lead Time orders, amendments, preparation for the AM rush and replenishment of goods across the site. The hours for this role are 1.30pm - 10.00pm (Monday to Friday) and is located at our Boronia, VIC site.
This new role plays a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive their goods in full through:
- Working independently to support the day to day operations of the Logistics functions of Kattsafe including quality checking and maintaining inventory, processing and responding to external and internal customer enquiries, picking, packing, loading and dispatching goods.
- Working closely with other operational areas of the business including remote Warehouse Operations, Purchasing/Sourcing, Business Improvement, Customer Service and Sales, to ensure an integrated flow of product to the customer.
- Supporting the achievement of objectives and targets, including actions, monitoring, reporting, implementation and coordination with relevant departments.
Some of Your Key Activities
- Meet and greet customers who are at site for pick up of goods.
- Pick and Pack orders
- Coordinate freight requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
- Respond to customer enquiries regarding order status, product availability, and general order-related questions.
- Identify and escalate any issues or concerns that may impact order processing or customer satisfaction.
- Load freight using machinery (ie. forklift).
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform basic repairs or coordinate repairs with appropriate Kattsafe team.
- Follow logistics policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and maintain a safe working environment.
What is valued?
- High level skills as a Forklift operator, understanding load requirements and complexities.
- Experience in the use of ERP or alike inventory systems relating to manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics.
- Experience in ensuring safety is part of all conversations and approaches to work.
- Clearly understand the direct correlation between quality systems and customer satisfaction.
- Basic Inventory Management and Intermediate IT skills.
- Customer Excellence focused with the ability to identify and address any issues or concerns that may impact dispatch operations or customer satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate with and work across multiple areas of the business to ensure efficient flow of goods to the customer.
- A proactive approach to learning.
