ABOUT THE ROLE
To keep up with continued growth in the domestic Dangerous Goods market, Chemcouriers is looking for Owner Drivers based in Wacol, Brisbane. As part of the Mainfreight group, Chemcouriers specialises in the express transport of both packaged and bulk dangerous goods nationwide.
As an Owner Driver with Chemcouriers, we offer you the opportunity to run your own business with your profit dictated by your willingness to work, and your efficiency.
Our Owner Drivers are paid attractive rates for work completed, not hourly. The harder you’re willing to work, the more your business can earn, the more efficiently you complete that work, the greater your profitability.
Service, presentation, and chain of responsibility are paramount to us at Chemcouriers, you are the face of our business and the presentation of yourself, and your truck is expected to be immaculate at all times.
Operating from a Wacol base, we have current opportunities for the following:
- Owner Drivers with a minimum 1t Van in near new condition, no older than 2021. (Vans are guaranteed minimum revenue monthly)
- Owner Drivers looking to purchase a NEW truck – 10 to 14 pallet size with Tailgate.
- Owner Drivers who own a NEAR NEW (no older than 2021) 10-14 pallet truck with Mezzanine or Tailgate and you will be willing to invest in paint & branding to our specifications within 6 months.
To be successful in applying you will need:
- Immaculate presentation of both the truck and driver
- Hard working, dedicated Owner Driver with excellent communication skills who takes pride in their truck.
- A strong work ethic and a drive to succeed in your business
- Bulk dangerous goods licence and registration essential for trucks
- Dangerous goods experience preferred. (We provide ongoing training to the successful applicant)
- Previous experience in multi-drop pickup & delivery in the Brisbane area preferred.
- Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility
- Previous experience with scanner and driver-based technology preferred (Training provided)
- Must be a GST registered PTY LTD company, or willing to setup
- Complete insurance package- Comprehensive Vehicle, Public Liability, Carriers Liability.
- Available Monday to Friday and flexible with your working hours (varying from 0500-1730)
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
