ABOUT THE ROLE
To keep up with continued growth in the domestic market, Mainfreight Townsville is looking for Owner Drivers based in our Townsville Transport depot.
As an Owner Driver with Mainfreight, you are provided the opportunity to run your own business with your profit dictated by your willingness to work, and your efficiency. Our OD's are paid attractive rates for work completed.
WE ARE SEEKING
- Near New 10-14 pallet rigid Less than 5 years old (>2019 build date)
- Older trucks up to 8 years old will be considered with a plan to buy and build new to our specifications within 18 months
- Tailgate or Mezzanine preferred. Must have gates
- Immaculate presentation of both truck and driver
- Hard working, dedicated Owner Driver with excellent communication skills who takes pride in their truck
- A Strong work ethic and a drive to succeed in your business
- Dangerous goods experience preferred but not essential (we are happy to train the successful applicant)
- Previous experience in a multi-drop pickup and delivery zone
- Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility
- Previous experience with scanner and driver-based technology preferred (Training provided)
- Must be a GST registered PTY LTD company, or willing to setup
- Own insurances including Workcover
- Available Monday to Friday and flexible with work hours (typically 7000-1700)
