We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Engineerto join our team at Regency Park which will see you responsible for maximising the efficiency, productivity, quality and safety of packaging equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Co-ordinate the full range of activities and modifications designed to maximise the efficiency, productivity, quality and safety of packaging equipment and systems
  • Provide leadership to the Site Packaging process.
  • Provide technical training, coaching and support to Packaging Machine Operators, Trades Team Members and Resource/Managers
  • Plan, implement and evaluate capital and other improvement investments in both existing and new equipment consistent with cost, quality, safety and service objectives
  • Network and liaise with other internal and external packaging equipment specialists
  • Work with the National Packaging Manager, Production & Quality Managers to drive performance in Packaging metrics and implement performance based training with Capability manager.
  • Work closely with National Packaging Manager, Packaging Development Manager and Project Engineers to ensure the timely execution and implementation of new packaging projects and initiatives.
  • Provide Site leadership, direction and guidance to the Packaging IPS process.
  • Through executing packaging health checks and collaboration with key stake holders evaluate preventative maintenance and continuous improvement programs.
  • Analyse packaging performance and trends to identify shortcomings and develop plans to reduce downtime, increase packaging composites and improve packaging safety performance & pack quality.
  • Liaise with OEM suppliers to investigate and resolve packaging issues.
  • Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety and welfare of our people.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in relevant technical role, preferably in an FMCG industry
  • Exposure to high speed packaging equipment and/or comparable production technology
  • Knowledge of TSSC packaging equipment, system, suppliers and modern process control techniques.
  • Interpersonal skills, which foster the trust, co-operation and support of others.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate a number of simultaneous work activities.
  • High level of proven analytical and effective problem solving skills.
  • Solid mechanical understanding and operating principles.
  • Ability to share and ensure understanding of technical concepts with non-technical audience.
