Job objective and role
As the Mid to Senior level Packaging Designer within our group, your role will entail crafting packaging designs that are both visually captivating and functionally effective. These designs should authentically mirror the identities of our brands and strike a chord with our target demographics in the beauty and wellness sectors. You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to conceive packaging concepts, create prototypes, and guarantee that our products are presented to consumers in the most compelling manner possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and sales teams to grasp packaging needs and project goals.
- Generate inventive packaging design ideas that harmonize with brand image and consumer preferences.
- Create intricate packaging designs, encompassing graphic elements, color palettes, typography, and structural elements.
- Determine the physical attributes of the packaging, taking into account dimensions, proportions, materials, and any special attributes.
- Uphold consistency between packaging designs and the brand's visual identity.
- Adhere rigorously to regulatory and industry-specific packaging standards, including labeling prerequisites.
- Streamline packaging expenses without compromising quality or brand integrity.
- Explore and implement eco-friendly packaging practices to reduce environmental impact.
- Perform thorough quality assessments to ensure the final printed packaging aligns with design specifications.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and scrutinize competitor packaging to ensure designs meet specifications.
- Effectively communicate and present packaging design concepts to internal stakeholders.
Competencies required
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated expertise in packaging design, particularly within the beauty and supplement product sectors
- Established track record in the field of packaging design
- Profound knowledge of packaging materials, printing methods, and production processes
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards pertaining to packaging
- Demonstrated creativity and a meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
- Proficiency in collaborative work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Experience:
- Ideally has design experience in either the beauty, cosmetics, or supplement/wellness industry.
- A conceptual thinker with the ability to execute, and a strong work ethic.
- Intelligent, analytical, organised, and skilled at identifying and implementing consumer trends
- A strong communicator skilled at operating in a business which requires intuition of the marketplace and flexibility of personality to function effectively in multiple channels in concert with a diverse team
- Highly proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud software
- Qualifications in graphic design
- Ability to travel interstate and internationally when needed
