Access Therapist makes it easier for NDIS Participants to access quality occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, and mental health social work services from the comfort of their own home either through OT Face to face visit or platform link.
About the role
As a result of a growing business need, we have a unique opportunity for an Occupational Therapist available. This role will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services both in-person and via telehealth to persons presenting with a range of needs including complex care, intellectual disabilities, communication difficulties, mental health, and behaviours of concern. Working across a variety of in-person and telehealth settings, you will be responsible for initial assessments, programs, and reporting.
A key focus of your role will be to empower clients and their families to make positive choices related to community support and independence. The team is strong with culture, inclusiveness and passion for learning, development and evidence-based practice!
This role reports directly to the Occupational Therapist – Team Lead and is a full-time, hybrid role where you will work a combination of in-client home and telehealth. About You
- Undergraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
- 1 years+ post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Experience with and strong understanding of paediatric and disability sectors, preferably with some experience in a telehealth setting
- A passion for collaboration and supportive environments
- Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied clinical caseload
- Highly organised and efficient self-starter
To be able to undertake this role you will require the following prior to commencement
- NDIS Working Screening Check (NDISWC)
- Working with Children Check or the Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWCC / WWVPC)
