Who we are:
MACCS Medical Group is Victoria’s largest private paediatric allergy centre. We bring together a large group of paediatric specialists to deliver the highest level of care for our patients and their families. Our medical team includes allergists and immunologists, general paediatricians, sleep physician, ENT surgeon, dietitian and a speech pathologist. We also have a large allergy challenge centre and have an excellent nursing team supporting the practice.
MACCS Medical Group is conveniently co-located with the Royal Children’ Hospital, providing excellent access to public transport. Our specialists have very strong links with the Royal Children’s Hospital and many are actively involved with medical research.

About you:
You are an experienced nurse with a warm fun friendly personality. You are ready to join a busy environment and are enthusiastic and compassionate about supporting patients and their families with allergies. You’re confident managing the unexpected, an excellent communicator, and a highly skilled clinician who is comfortable working autonomously yet simultaneously as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer food/drug challenges to patients with suspected allergies
- .Perform Skin Prick Tests for patients with suspected allergies
- Provide Immunotherapy injections, immunotherapy and other medications to patients.
- Provide education to patients and their families
Key Required Attributes and Availability
- Current valid nursing registration with AHPRA
- Experience and/or a strong interest in paediatric nursing, allergy experience desirable but not essential as training provided
- Exceptional Communication and self motivated
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Adaptability and flexibility, together with a willingness to work in a team and embrace change
- 2 - 5 week days per week - days and hours negotiated with successful applicants.
- This position is to cover maternity initially, however ongoing employment will be likely offered.
