POSITION DETAILS
- Responsible for managing the care of all patients inpatients and outpatient
- Provide support to the Emergency Department for management of paediatric patients
- Support the referral and transport process for children transferred from neighbouring hospital for inpatient care
- Involvement in Continuous Quality Improvement activities auditing
- Actively participate in ongoing training and continuing professional development requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years experience in paediatric medicine
- APLS certification
- Neonatal and Paediatric Life Support Skills
- To participate in paediatric care of babies, children and adolescents
- Assist in supervision and training of resident medical officers
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures in relation to paediatric care
- Provide accurate and timely documentation
- Undertake well baby checks
- Attend teaching ward rounds
- Attend regular training sessions

This hospital is a General Paediatric ward and is accredited for 6 months basic training in Paediatrics as well as advanced training in Community Paediatrics and Rural Paediatrics for doctors working towards fellowship qualifications.
