Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
The Kids Sleep Research Group is a multidisciplinary research group based at CCHR that aims to improve the health and wellbeing of children by targeting sleep to improve long-term functional outcomes. The team includes both clinical and academic researchers and works closely with the sleep medicine department at Queensland Children's Hospital to undertake impactful clinical research. The group have established collaborations with research partners within Queensland and interstate and have been successful in receiving grant funding from multiple sources to undertake multi-centre research.
Your Opportunity
The position of psychologist will:
  • Co-ordinate data management for clinical trials within paediatric and adolescent sleep medicine including studies relating to children with complex neurodisability.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary Sleep Research team to ensure successful completion of a large multi-centre clinical Sleep Research study and contribute to other studies undertaken by the research group.
  • Work on any other duties as reasonably directed by supervisor, as part of the Paediatric Sleep Medicine Research Group, within the Department of Paediatric Sleep Medicine, which provides a state-wide service to children with sleep disorders.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure all eligible patients are enrolled on trials and will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of research are conducted within laws and regulations of the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, Good Clinical Practice and Queensland Health Research Management Policy.
