ABOUT THE ROLE
The Paint Shop Instructor operates a painting and decorating workshop incorporating facilities maintenance and the finishes to manufactured products to support prison operations. The position provides on the job instruction, accredited training and supervision to prisoners who work in this area. The position holds a supervisory role over other staff in this area.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies at similar locations, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.

ELIGIBILITY
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
- Construction Industry White Card
- Valid manual "C" class motor vehicle driving licence
- Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) accreditation (or equivalent) with a minimum of 12 months validity remaining
