AddressPAINTING TRADES WORKER (Painter)
We're assisting one of our clients to fill in the position of the Painting Trades Worker (Painter). Our client is providing best building services throughout the inner and outer Melbourne region and also in Ballarat and Bendigo areas. Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepping surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, sanding, repairing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, smoothing and sealing surfaces, and building scaffolding and ladders to protect neighboring areas from paint splattering.
- Choosing and preparing paints to achieve desired colours by combining pigment, oil, and thinning and drying components.
- Estimate costs of construction work
- Brushes, rollers, and sprays are used to apply paints, varnishes, and stains to surfaces.
- Wallpaper installation, pattern matching, and edge trimming.
- Cleaning work areas and equipment.
- Carry out measurements and calculations.
- May include replacing glass in wooden and metal frames and repair windows.
- Work safely with lead-painted surfaces in the painting industry and have knowledge to adhere OH&S work practices.
Experience and Qualifications: -
- Have minimum qualification of Certificate in painting and Decoration or other relevant qualifications.
- Having experience in Feature Walls is more desirable.
- Have minimum of 2 years of experience as a painter
- Must have can do attitude and attention to detail.
Are you Interested?
Great salary range in between $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum.
