Commercial Painting Trades Worker

We are a growing Commercial Painting company in high demand by builders. Currently have a team of 25 employees and contractors.

Our work involves the painting of schools, supermarkets, restaurants, office buildings, residential insurance jobs, and more.

Required skills and qualifications:

·       Minimum 2 years Commercial Painting experience

·       Minimum 1 year Commercial Painting supervising experience

·       Experience using spray gun

·       Certificate III in Painting and Decorating

·       Successful completion of TRA Job Ready Program for the occupation Painting Trades Worker (if non-resident/citizen)

·       White Card

·       Working with Children Check

·       Elevated Work Platform and Working at Heights licence

·       Ability to communicate fluently in English, Hindi/Urdu, Punjabi and Telugu

·       Australian driver's license and own car (sufficiently large to carry ladders, spray guns etc)

·       Previous experience using CrewTraka and Trak job management software

·       Experience in analysing and forecasting budgets to keep expenses within

Responsibilities and tasks:

·       Awareness and adherence to safety procedures at all times

·       Interpreting architectural plans and specifications relevant to painting works

·       Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces

·       Applying paints, varnishes and stains to internal and external surfaces (by brush, roller and spray gun)

·       Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering

·       Identify and obtain sign off for variations to scope of works

·       Supervising a team of painting workers to ensure a high standard and performance

·       Cleaning equipment and work areas

·       Taking care of, and returning, tools including rollers, brushes, ladders

·       Following instructions from site supervisor, project manager and managing director.

·       Training new painters

·       Picking up paint and materials from stores, when requested

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role

• Expected salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year
