Panel Beater
About your new role
As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for undertaking panel body repairs to the City's fleet of approximately 5,000 vehicle and plant assets. The responsibilities of this role are multi-faceted and include, but are not limited to;
- Undertake body and panel repairs,
- Applying rust preventative coatings, and
- Working safely and following adopted procedures
What you bring to your new role
We are looking for someone with:
- Certificate III in Panel Beating (or associated trade)
- Experience in a panel and paint workshop repairing heavy vehicles would be an advantage
- Experience or qualification in spray painting would be an advantage
- Experience working with a Computerised Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP
- Experience working with quality and safety certified systems, with the capacity to identify issues and recommend appropriate responses and solutions
- Self-motivated and able to work independently when required, as well as part of a team
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- A responsible attitude in relation to timekeeping, work organisation and quality control
