About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Panel Technician based from Wangara 6065 who is passionate about contributing to the success of our business. You’ll be responsible for the service and maintenance of a variety of commercial Systems across various sites have an allocated run across a variety of sites including Commercial sites, Offices, Retail etc.
What will you be doing?
- Programming, commissioning & maintenance of fire alarm & detection systems
- Performing on site callouts with proven field service experience & ability to troubleshoot, test and repair.
- Communicate and engage with clients and other Grosvenor employees.
- Identify issues and non-conformances.
- Quoting and scoping for upcoming works
- Build strong team and client relationships.
- Communicate clearly with clients and other Grosvenor employees.
- Capitalise on the maintenance contract work by being vigilant for any potential repairs, upgrades, refurbs and new business opportunities.
What will you need to join the team?
- Trade qualification as an Electrician would be preferred but not essential
- Current open cabling license, driver’s license and white card
- A strong technical background, and experience within the Fire Services Industry
- Proven fault-finding skills, and experience working in s a service based role with a strong understanding of the Australian Standards – AS1668.1, AS1670.1 & AS1670.4
- Experience in the installation of Vesda systems, construction and fit outs
- Confidence with computers and software including mobile apps
- The ability to read construction drawings, and identify areas of non-compliance
- Highly developed communication skills, professional attitude and great personal presentation
- Curiosity – someone who enjoys autonomy as well as working within a team, and a proactive self-starter
- Proven ability to achieve targets while maintaining focus on quality
- EAHL preferred but not required
- Experience in gas suppression installations, and the programming of FIPs highly desirable
- Cert II in Fire Protection (optional)
- FPAS Accreditation (optional)
