This role is ideal for a technician experienced in either diesel engines, pumps or auto electrics and is looking to take the next steps in their career. You’ll be providing technical support and mentoring a growing team of technicians leading by example on the tools
About the position
- Carrying out AS1851 annual and five yearly services on diesel and electric driven pump sets and assisting with flow testing of fire hydrant and sprinkler systems.
- Oil and fuel filter replacement, gland packing and mechanical seals repairs/replacements.
- Minor repairs and replacements of pumps, motors and engines
- Replacement of pump controllers and repairs to pump controls
- Quoting & scoping for upcoming works.
- Preparing accurate and timely onsite service sheets and reports via apps.
What will you bring?
- A trade qualification in a related field (e.g Mechanical, Auto electrics Plumbing or Sprinkler);
- Fire service experience (desirable) and/or previous experience in a similar role;(
- Current or ability to obtain OH&S white card;
- Current Driver’s License
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to work overtime or after hours when required.
