That makes us proud. We have recovered more than $4 billion for groups, individuals, shareholders and businesses that have suffered loss due to illegal behaviour by large corporations. That gives us purpose.This role presents a dynamic opportunity to collaborate with a team of senior lawyers on a high-profile Class Actions case. This is a part-time (3-4 days per week) 6 month fixed term contract.Bring your legal research abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills, and kickstart your career in law within Australia's premier Class Actions practice.What you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and interpreting discovered documents.
- Preparing briefs for case management hearings, mediation, and trial.
- Responding to and handling inquiries regarding the Class Action.
- Updating the discovery database and preparing evidence summaries.
- Assisting in managing communications with clients.
- Excellent organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- A strong academic background and/or experience in conducting complex legal research and writing.
- An understanding of our client base and the capacity to demonstrate empathy and compassion.
- Desirable backgrounds include Business/Commerce, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Excel, updating databases, and/or manipulating data is advantageous.
- Capability to prioritize tasks, adapt to a rapidly evolving environment, and demonstrate outstanding organizational skills.
- A genuine passion for law and you are eager to contribute within a collaborative work setting.
