Your new company
Australian Integrated Carbon (AIC) has one goal: to help commercialise environmental improvement for businesses.
Working as project development partners with Australian farmers, Indigenous communities, large energy users and waste facility managers, they help their customers find additional revenue streams whilst improving on environmental performance.
They know that getting involved in carbon trading isn't core business for their clients, but it is for AIC. Through understanding the key drivers of different businesses, they work to improve bottom line without the need for you to worry about complicated carbon market details.
Your new role
As an integral member of a small team, your key accountabilities will include:
- Develop, amend and update carbon contracts: Work with a large number of contracts, predominately focused on property transactions e.g. change to landholders, mortgage discharges
- Preparing submissions for Government: Engage with ecologists to ensure EIH Consent forms are prepared with complete accuracy. Liaise with external entities, conduct ASIC/data searches, obtain consent from Native Title groups, and prepare progress updates
- Policy research: Over time, this role will grow to include monitoring market conditions and developing company wide responses
To be considered for these roles, you will demonstrate:
Technical Skills:
- Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in law, conveyancing, business, or related discipline
- Understanding of general corporate and commercial law, contract preparation and property law
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to form relationships and obtain information as required
Personal Attributes:
- A genuine interest in the environmental market, sustainability and innovative technology
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to demonstrate initiative
- Confidence and focus to work on highly repetitive tasks
- A commitment to high work standards and exceptional attention to detail
- Critical thinking skills to be able to navigate problems with creative solutions
- Curiosity and courage to grow in uncharted territory
