About the Team and the Role
The team you will join is welcoming and knowledgeable and ready to collaborate to continually improve our systems and processes.
Reporting to the Team Leader Rangers, the Parking Patrol Officer will play a key role in enforcing State legislation, policy and other regulations relating to the safe and lawful use of roads, reserves, parking areas and all other public areas. This encompasses carrying out patrols of on street parking including school zones and all timed and metered parking areas across Council.
About You
The successful incumbent will be able to demonstrate sound decision making in issuing Warnings, Notices or Penalties and will also be involved in the investigation of customer requests relating to parking or other matters where required.
You will bring demonstrated experience in parking or relevant enforcement field and an understanding of The Local Government Act, NSW Road Rules, Road Transport General Regulations Act and other relevant parking legislations.
You will have the ability to work in a flexible 7-day shift rotational roster including weekends and public holidays.
In addition to the above, you will also hold a C Class Driver Licence and a current Traffic Controller (formerly Blue Card) certificate or willingness to obtain.
This position is subject to a National Police Check undertaken by Council.
